The SoftPro™ Gait Trainer™ AFO is an orthosis that offers Progressive Extension Stretch Therapy to patients that suffer from ailments such as mild to moderate plantarflexion and inversion contracture and mild to abnormal ankle muscle tone and spasticity. The Gait Trainer features a pull strap that offers therapeutic stretch of the Achilles tendon and a removable durable ambulating pad that allows the patient to bear initial weight while in the device. The SoftPro™ Gait Trainer™ features a flexible support structure that aids with dorsi-flexion stretch, and the pull strap offers added stretch. The patient’s heel will float to relieve unnecessary pressure preventing irritation. The SoftPro™ Gait Trainer™ can be adjusted to correct inversion and reverse plantarflexion and a hip bar offers control to be used if needed for external and internal hip rotation. The SoftPro™ Gait Trainer™ is a transitional AFO and is not designed for active ambulators.
